Peter Geiger
I'm an educator, writer and marriage and family therapist licensed in California (2003) and accredited in the UK (2025). My clinical focus is on relationships, life transitions, and self development.
Our goal is long term change in how you feel about yourself and your relationships. I pay attention to the way you absorb and make sense of things, and whether your heart and head are aligned or in conflict. As you come to understand yourself better and communicate yourself more successfully, your sense of freedom,
choice and positive experience will grow.
I'm a highly interactive therapist. Interactive also means I engage with you by listening to you as deeply as I can. I try to understand your predicament—how you come to be talking to me now about the things we're discussingand to hold up a mirror to you so that you can fully see how things are. Fully seeing how things are then leads to seeing how things can be different. I'm happy to talk to you about the therapy process and about the developmental, and humanistic theories I find most useful and effective in helping you build self and resilience and choice, including the choice to be congruent: where what you tell others fully matches what you feel.
Therapy is where you feel supported and encouraged to do better by someone who knows you've always done the best you could, and that the best you could do in the past does not limit or define you: your best is yet to come.
